Safety a top priority in life, one of which is driving a car, while we are still far from living the dream car completely autonomous,
simple steps are taken. The European Union now share this dream, and had passed
a policy that would crave to have a new car from the emergency braking system (referred
to as autonomous emergency braking, or AEB). From 2014 onwards, Euro NCAP will
include AEB in the assessment of a new car, which would make it impossible for
any model without technology to achieve a five star safety ratings.
Jean Philippe European Commission said that all commercial
vehicles equipped with the technology will need in November next year. The
system can use radar, laser or video to detect when there are obstacles or
users of the road right in front of the car, and a new lesson to show that this
technology lowers the accident rate to 27 percent. which translates to 8,000
preventable deaths and between 3.9 pounds ($ 6.05) billion and £ 6.3 ($ 9.7)
billion saved every year.
Commercial vehicle shall exercise the system from November
next year, and various other things from 2014. We think that anything that
could help avert a collision occurs, the value is definitely a nice addition.
